Ultra Robotics has raised a $50M Series A (led by Framework Ventures, with Y Combinator), bringing its total to $62M.
An e-commerce fulfillment company says each Ultra robot handles 800 to 1,000 shipments, while they only need one human to shepherd 6 robots. That's a significant force multiplier.
This is essentially one person overseeing 4,000 to 6,000 shipments a day, which isn't possible without the robots.
