India plans to develop its first indigenous GPU in 24 months as part of efforts to reduce reliance on foreign firms and to build its own AI stack, including AI accelerator chips (the GPU), power infrastructure, servers/hardware, AI models, and applications, media report, citing Secretary S Krishnan, of India’s IT ministry.
